Moorhead Police Chief Chris Helmick (City of Moorhead)
MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) — The City of Moorhead has sworn in its new police chief.
Chris Helmick had served the Fargo Police Department since 2001 where he was a Captain. He also served with the Criminal Investigation Division, Neighborhood Services Division, and the Professional Standards Division.
Helmick and his family are longtime residents of Moorhead.
Helmick replaces Shannon Monroe who retired after more than 30 years with the department.
