MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Moorhead Police say the man wanted for shooting and killing another Sunday morning has been arrested.
Jerome Thomas III was arrested in Ishpeming, Michigan. Police learned Thomas and an accomplice, 32-year-old Abby Fredrickson, were hiding just north of the city. Michigan State Police arrested Thomas and Fredrickson after a traffic stop Monday morning.
Police say Thomas killed 39-year-old James Hamilton and fled in a light green Chevrolet Trax SUV. Thomas and Fredrickson are being held in the Marquette County Jail pending extradition.
Thomas has been charged with 2nd degree murder with intent, 2nd degree murder in a drive-by shooting, and two counts of attempted murder. Fredrickson is charged with aiding 2nd degree murder.
Officers responded to the 2700 block of 14th Street South on a report of shots fired shortly after 9:30 Sunday morning. Hamilton died at the scene.
