
GRAND FORKS, N.D. โ The Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to an aviation gas tanker accident resulting in a spill on Airport Drive Sunday afternoon.
Crews found a large leak at the rear of the tanker that was running out of the ventilation stack of the vehicle, but the tank was not damaged. The fuel was contained using sand and containers. Approximately 200-500 gallons of fuel was lost, but most of it was contained.
Grand Forks International Airport firefighters used foam to protect the area from ignition sources.
Interstate Towing was notified to upright the tanker truck.
