MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) โ A Twin Cities area couple has been charged in a $15 million medical billing fraud scheme that targeted Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance programs.
The U.S. Attorneyโs Office says Gabriel Luthor, 39, and his girlfriend, 40-year-old Elizabeth Brown, carried out a scheme to overbill for Neurofeedback therapy through their company, Golden Victory Medical LLC.
Federal prosecutors say they submitted hundreds of thousands of false claims and millions of dollars were transferred and retained by Luthor and Brown. Some of the money was used to buy a mansion in Eden Prairie and to pay the living expenses of other girlfriends of Luthorโs, who lived with the couple.
Luthor and Brown were arrested in Las Vegas earlier this week.
