FARGO (KFGO) โ The city and contractor say theyโre committed to providing business access during the 32nd Avenue South construction project which is now underway in Fargo. Work on the $18 million project, which got underway Wednesday morning, will continue throughout the summer.
โWe are committed to maintaining business access through this corridor, so just follow the detour routes, and the business access routes and weโll get you to where you need to go, but please make sure to take your time and maybe schedule a little extra time to get to your destination,โ said Jason Leonard with the design and construction division of the City of Fargo Engineering Department.
The initial work is beginning with pavement removal between 15th and 17th Streets.
Leonard says construction will move west as the project continues. New concrete pavement will be installed along with sidewalks, driveways, storm and sanitary sewers and street lights.
The money is coming from the city, state and federal government.
The primary contractor is Dakota UnderGround Company of Fargo.
