ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota retailers a preparing for increased costs as president Trump’s tariffs go into effect.
Minnesota Retailers Association President Bruce Nustad says he expects price impacts at the wholesale and retail level will be seen in weeks, not months. Nustad says he’s hearing from members whether they are the smallest main street retailer up to the largest that they believe the tariffs will have an affect across the board.
He says most retail businesses and their suppliers are not at a point where they’ll be able to absorb the costs.
