
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) โ The Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a small fire at Stay Inn Sunday morning.
Crews responded to a fire alarm at 1000 42nd Street N. around 5 a.m. where they saw smoke and upgraded the call to a full alarm.
The smoke was coming from a bathroom fan in an unoccupied room at the inn. The fire was quickly put out and damage was contained to the one unit.
The cause was determined to be accidental due to the malfunctioning bathroom fan.
No injuries were reported.
Five engines, one truck and a command vehicle with 17 personnel responded to the call.
