
CROOKSTON, Minn. (KFGO) โ A man wanted for illegally crossing the US-Canadian border led law enforcement from various agencies on a multi-county chase in the northern Red River Valley Monday morning.
The Polk County Sheriffโs Office says the man suffered a non-life threatening injury at the end of the pursuit, west of Crookston. The driver was shot and taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Speeds at times surpassed 100 miles-an-hour according to police radio transmissions monitored by KFGO News.
Polk County Sheriff James Tadman says his deputies, the Marshall County Sheriffโs Office, Crookston police, the US Border Patrol and Crookston Area Ambulance all assisted.
The border patrol has not released any information on where the pursuit began. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is heading the investigation.
