BIWABIK, Minn. – Authorities in northeastern Minnesota are investigating a skiing accident at Giant’s Ridge in Biwabik that left a 21-year-old man dead.
The Gilbert Police Department says Ski Patrol staff pulled the injured skier from the hillside Saturday and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Aurora. Medical personnel tried to save him, but he did not survive.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
