ST. PAUL, Minn. โ The Minnesota Department of Human Services is losing $27.5 million in federal grant money for mental health and substance use disorder programs.
Assistant DHS Commissioner Teresa Steinmetz says the funding was scheduled to continue through Sept. 30. Steinmetz says the cuts will impact school-based mental health services, access to overdose reversal drugs, and treatment and recovery for behavioral health issues.
No word on how many DHS jobs will be affected.
