Fire crews called to early morning bus fire in Fargo

FARGO (KFGO) – Crews were called to Valley Bus at 2761 Leahy Avenue early Friday for a report of a bus on fire.  

Battalion Chief Lee Soeth says the call came in at 2:20 a.m.

“On the way, they upgraded it to a full dispatch because there was another bus next to it that was also possibly in danger of catching on fire,” Soeth says. “We arrived, (and) we had a fully involved bus. We proceeded to pull a line. It did extend into the bus right next to it. We proceeded to put both the buses out. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to get everything extinguished.”

Soeth says no one was hurt and the fire is under investigation.  

There were early reports of explosions, but Soeth says that was the tires popping as the bus burned.
