U.S. ethanol production fell to a near two-month low last week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says ethanol production averaged 1.053 million barrels per day, down 52,000 on the week and 1,000 on the year.
Iowa State Universityโs Center for Agricultural and Rural Development says estimated operating margins for the average Iowa plant receded while remaining just above the breakeven mark.
Ethanol stocks were reported at 27.35 million barrels, climbing 775,000 from the previous week and 1.258 million from a year ago.
The Renewable Fuels Association says net inputs of ethanol purchased by refiners and blenders and the volume of gasoline supplied to the market were both 2% lower than the week before.
Ethanol exports averaged 164,000 barrels a day, an increase of 53,000 from the prior week and 80,000 from this time last year.
The USDAโs updated corn for ethanol use projection is out April 10th.
