Nicole Rice acquitted (Court TV)
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A Minot woman charged with killing her roommate in 2007 in Minot has been found not guilty by a jury in Grand Forks County District Court.
The jury began deliberating Tuesday afternoon. The verdict was reached Wednesday morning. Nichole Rice was arrested about three years ago for the stabbing death of Anita Knutson, a Minot State University student.
Former Minot Police Chief John Klug said Rice was always a person of interest, but until 2022, investigators did not have enough evidence to arrest her.
The trial was moved to Grand Forks due to publicity surrounding the case in Minot.
