Fire causes significant damage to south Fargo apartment unit

FARGO (KFGO) – No one was hurt, but residents of an apartment unit were displaced after a kitchen fire in south Fargo Monday night.  

The Fargo Fire Department says crews responded to the apartment complex at 2551 Villa Drive S at 9:48 p.m. where the fire started in a second-floor unit. Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread, but the unit sustained significant damage.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate isn’t available yet.  

The displaced residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
