FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man has been sentenced to four years in prison for killing a pedestrian and fleeing the scene.
23-year-old Alex Cruz pleaded guilty earlier this month to hitting and killing 36-year-old Robyn Krause near Walmart on 52nd Ave. South in Fargo in December 2024. He also pleaded guilty to driving with a suspended license.
Cruz told investigators at the time, he thought he had hit a deer and did not stop. He was arrested at his work the day of the crash.
Cruz will have to pay Krause’s family $3,400 in restitution and serve two years of probation.
