DULUTH, Minn. (KFGO) – A former Duluth collegiate climbing coach has been sentenced to six years in prison for possessing child sex abuse materials.
Lucas Kramer pleaded guilty and was required to pay restitution to his victim. On September 23rd, 2022, authorities received a tip that someone online with the username “northernboy35” used Kik to upload 19 videos of child sex abuse material to the internet.
The IP address of the account’s email led to Lucas Kramer’s address. A search of his home showed Kramer knowingly possessed over 600 images and videos of child sex abuse material on multiple electronic devices. He admitted to trading his CSAM collection with others online, and officers found sexually explicit chats between him and a prepubescent minor.
Judge Tostrud called Kramer’s behavior “deeply troubling,” and his collection showed a “callous indifference” to the humanity of his victims.
