
MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO/WCCO) – Target is voluntarily recalling nearly 200,000 cans of its Good & Gather brand canned cut green beans over concerns that they may be contaminated with a foreign object, according to a statement by FDA.
The recall is categorized as Class II by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), meaning that the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”
The recalled products were manufactured by Del Monte Foods and affected the Good & Gather brand of canned cut green beans. They were sold in 14.5-ounce cans with a UPC number of 0 85239-11628 9, a best-if-used-by date of October 2026, and lot number 7AA 418507, which can be found on the top or bottom of the can.
The recalled Green Beans were sold in 21 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Target is telling shoppers to throw out the product if you have any of them, or call your local Target to see if a refund or exchange will be honored.
