FRANKFURT (Reuters) โ A European Central Bank rate cut in April is increasingly likely since inflation is slowing, wage growth is moderating and service price pressures are easing, Greek central bank chief Yannis Stournaras said.
โEverything points in the direction of a cut in April,โ Stournaras, one of the longest serving members of the ECBโs Governing Council, told media outlet Econostream.
โBut this is not April. It is still March. We have one month to go, so I cannot tell you that weโre going to cut โฆ If it was today, I would be more certain that weโre going to have a cut.โ
