MANDAN, N.D. (KFGO) – A New York man is facing charges in Morton County for allegedly running a prostitution ring out of a Mandan spa.
70-year-old Wieman Peng is charged with promoting prostitution and practicing massage without a license.
A Mandan Police report says a man contacted the department last June, saying he had been touched inappropriately while getting a massage at Relax Body Work Spa. The victim told detectives the female masseuse grabbed his genitals and tried to pull his boxers down. The victim protested and left the business.
Detectives spoke with several other people who visited the spa. They told officers they would pay an extra $50 for sexual favors from their masseuse. Officers learned no one who worked at the massage parlor was licensed by the state massage board.
A Mandan detective found the spa’s owner, Peng, was listed as a suspect in another case involving a prostitution ring, and owned several spas across the county.
Peng was arrested when he flew from New York to Bismarck Tuesday. He was charged Wednesday.
