EAGAN, Minn. (KFGO) โ The Minnesota Vikings are no longer interested in signing former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Several reports say the Vikings plan to make second-year player JJ McCarthy their starting quarterback next season. Earlier reports said the 41-year-old Rodgers preferred joining Minnesota over the Pittsburgh Steelers or New York Giants.
McCarthy did not play his rookie season after suffering a knee injury in the preseason. He led Michigan to the NCCA Championship in his junior season.
