Gary is the newest member of ND Highway Patrol

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – The newest member of the North Dakota Highway Patrol is going to work.

K9 Gary is an 8-week-old mantrailing bloodhound. His partner is trooper Nevon Heisler. Heisler and Gary are located in the northeast region of the state.

The patrol says Gary is busy learning the ropes of learning everything it takes to be a trooper.

Gary is trained to track lost and missing persons, escapees and will provide assistance in criminal investigations and finding evidence.
