Victoria Whitefeather (Hubbard Co. Sheriff's Office)
PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (KFGO) โ A Laporte, Minnesota woman was arrested for felony drunken driving after her SUV collided with a pickup in northern Minnesotaโs Hubbard County.
The sheriffโs office says Victoria Whitefeather, 34, ran into the front of the pickup last Friday.
She asked the pickup driver not to call law enforcement saying she didnโt have a driverโs license or insurance. Whitefeather wrote her name and address on a piece of paper and left the scene.
A conservation officer and deputies responded to the address and found Whitefeather asleep in the SUV. She was unsteady and failed field sobriety tests. She said she was coming from a liquor store and was planning to meet a friend. An open bottle of vodka and marijuana were discovered in the SUV along with pills and a folded $5 bill.
Whitefeather was convicted of vehicular homicide in a 2013 crash also in Hubbard County for a collision where a motorcyclist died.
