ST. PAUL, Minn. โ Senate Republicans are highlighting $600 million of what they call wasteful spending that could be cut from the state budget.
Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson says they found waste in transportation projects and spending on health care for non-citizens of Minnesota.
โWeโre confident thereโs more misprioritized spending and waste to be found and we can promise you that we will be looking into that,โ Johnson says.
Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy says, โitโs clear Republicans see programs that help people as waste, and their budget priorities are tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy.โ
