
MOORETON, N.D. (KFGO) – A vehicle is a total loss, but its driver is okay after a crash involving a deer in southeast North Dakota.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says around 5:40 a.m. Monday, Scott Daignault was driving south on I-29 near the Highway 13 interchange east of Mooreton when the deer jumped in front of his vehicle.
Daignault couldn’t stop and hit the deer. His vehicle caught fire. Daignault got out uninjured.
The Sheriff’s Office, Mooreton Fire, and ASI Ambulance responded to the scene.
