FARGO (KFGO-KVRR) – A plea deal is reached for the man charged with leaving the scene of a fatal pedestrian crash near Walmart on 52nd Avenue South in Fargo in December.
23-year-old Alex Cruz has pleaded guilty to failing to stop for an accident involving death and driving under suspension.
Cruz hit and killed 36-year-old Robyn Krause of Fargo while she was crossing the street around 6:30 a.m. on December 23.
He had been cited for speeding four times in 2024, including one citation for driving 23mph over the limit in West Fargo.
Cruz will be sentenced on March 24.
