Mason Kraft scored four goals in the first period to help lead the Moorhead boys hockey team win their first state championship with a wild 7-6 victory over Stillwater Saturday night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
The resilient Ponies came from behind after being down multiple goals throughout the game, including scoring two goals late after being down 7-4 late in the third period to make the contest a one score affair. The Spuds were able to hold off Stillwater in the final three minutes to secure the victory.
