BRASILIA (Reuters) – Brazil’s gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 3.4% in 2024, government statistics agency IBGE said on Friday, after growing 0.2% in the fourth quarter from the previous three-month period.
The quarterly performance missed the 0.5% median forecast in a Reuters poll of economists.
The 3.6% annual growth rate recorded in the final quarter of last year also fell short of the expected 4.1% expansion.
