SPIRIT LAKE RESERVATION, N.D. (KFGO) – A search is underway for a murder suspect after what the Spirit Lake Tribal Council describes as an incident within the boundaries of the reservation south of Devils Lake.
Law enforcement sources say the suspect is believed to be armed. The hospital in Devils Lake was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning as the search got underway. The tribal council advised residents to shelter in place until further notice and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
The FBI field office in Minneapolis has not provided any details.
