Asst. US Attorney Chris Myers
FARGO (KFGO KVRR) – A longtime federal drug prosecutor from Fargo says he’s decided to accept an early buyout and retire from the Justice Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Chris Myers has been a North Dakota BCI agent and a prosecutor at the state and federal levels for nearly 28 years.
Myers has prosecuted thousands of people, including an international fentanyl ring linked to China and a notorious hitman and top lieutenant for the Arellano Felix Organization.
“Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with exceptional mentors, dedicated support staff, strong law enforcement leaders, and some of the best agents in the world,” said Myers. “I cannot express enough gratitude for all of your hard work, friendship, and support.”
Myers’ last day on the job is March 5.
Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer have nominated East Central District Court Judge Nicholas Chase for US Attorney. He would replace Mac Schneider, who was appointed to the post by President Biden.
