Dillon Berg (Marshall Co, Sheriff's Office)
WARREN, Minn. (KFGO) โ A northwestern Minnesota man is facing charges of arson, making terrorist threats, obstructing the legal process and assaulting a peace officer following his arrest for trying to break into the home of his wife in the town of Viking.
The Marshall County Sheriffโs Office says Dillon Berg had been kicked out of the home. He returned and was very intoxicated.
Berg started a fire near a grill and said he was going to open a propane tank and cause a larger fire or explosion.
The criminal complaint says a deputy grabbed a hose and sprayed the fire with water. As the officer put the hose down, Berg picked up the hose and sprayed the deputy. He was eventually arrested and no one was hurt.
Berg is in the Pennington County Jail in Thief River Falls. Bail was set at $200,000.
