FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) โ The Fargo Youth Hockey association is addressing a fight that broke out after a game over the weekend.
The fight was between parents in the stands at an 11- and 12-year-old peewee game at the Coliseum Saturday afternoon.
Fargo Police responded, but nobody involved wanted to file a report or name names, and no further action was taken.
Fargo Youth Hockey says suspensions have already been handed out and they feel this behavior is not representative of most hockey parents.
โThis was a clear violation of our parent code of conduct,โ said Joe Christianson, executive director of the Youth Hockey Association. โWe did institute suspensions that exceed what the NDAHA would recommend.โ
Christianson says that because the fight happened after the game ended, referees did not need to get involved and will not be filing an official report.
