ST. PAUL, Minn. โ A proposed bill at the State Capitol could make it easier to find a driverโs road test in Minnesota, but missing the test appointment could cost more money.
Rep. Andrew Myers from Tonka Bay wants to open up certain appointment slots between one and three months in advance. Parents have said appointments are gone early, and theyโve had to drive for hours to get an appointment for their teen driver.
The bill would also increase the penalty for not showing up for the appointment from $20 to $50.
