LUBANGO, ANGOLA (KFGO) — The wife of a Detroit Lakes missionary who was killed in Angola, Africa in October has been charged as a co-author in her husband’s murder.
Jackie Shroyer was arrested October 29, 2024, four days after her husband, Beau Shroyer, was killed. The Angolan Criminal Investigation Service says it’s believed Jackie was having an affair with a security guard who worked at the couple’s estate. The CIS says Jackie promised the security guard and two other men the equivalent of $50,000 USD to kill her husband.
Pastor Troy Easton, from Lakes Area Vineyard Church in Detroit Lakes, says the Shroyers’ five children are being cared for by close family friends.
According to a GoFundMe, Beau Shroyer’s body was flown from Angola to France to Minneapolis in December. He was buried in Detroit Lakes December 21.
