FARGO (KFGO) โ The Fargo School Board has named three finalists for superintendent. They will be interviewed later this month by the school board, administrators, community members, support staff, and teachers.
The finalists are Vincent Williams, who now serves as the assistant superintendent for secondary schools in the West Fargo School District, a position he has held since 2021. Before that, Williams was a teacher in Fargo and principal of Sheyenne High School in West Fargo.
Another finalist is Dr. Cory Steiner, superintendent of the Northern Cass School District. Steinerโs past experience includes working as an assistant principal and principal at West Fargo High School.
The third finalist is Dr. Robert Lech, superintendent of Jamestown Public Schools. Lech is a former teacher, principal and activities director in Tappen, North Dakota. He was also superintendent in Rolla and Beulah and taught in the Richland 44 School District in Colfax.
The person selected will replace Superintendent Rupak Gandhi. He announced his resignation last November and plans to start a consulting business. He was hired as superintendent in the summer of 2018.
The school board is set to meet February 28 when a decision on a new superintendent is expected to be made.
