GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A 18-year-old Grand Forks man will be charged as an adult for allegedly raping a girl when he was 17.
The alleged incident happened last June. Court records say Jayden Perales was at a house party in Grand Forks when he forcibly raped a 12-year-old girl.
Perales denied the allegations, but prosecutors say DNA from the victim matched with his. The Grand Forks State’s Attorney Office charged Perales with two counts of felony AA gross sexual imposition.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
