BELTRAMI CO., Minn (KFGO/KVRR) — A man was arrested last week in Douglas County, Nevada for sex crimes that happened over the course of two years in Beltrami County, Minnesota and in Alpine County, California.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Thomas Humiston was arrested Jan. 30 for first degree criminal sexual conduct.
An investigation revealed that Humiston abused two girls ages eight and 10.
The FBI was involved in the investigation due to the severity of the alleged crimes and for occurring in different states.
Humiston is awaiting extradition back to Beltrami County.
The investigation is ongoing.
