CANBY MINN .- A vehicle broke through the ice on a Yellow Medicine lake in southwestern Minnesota Sunday but the driver was uninjured.
The Yellow Medicine Sheriff’s Department says a vehicle broke through the ice on Del Clark Lake near Canby, Minnesota. Fortunately, the driver was able to escape the truck safely.
The vehicle settled in approximately 30 feet of deep water and recovery efforts were being coordinated. Preliminary investigation indicated that the ice had been compromised due to the recent warm weather.
The area where the vehicle fell through has been marked with traffic cones to alert the public.
