FARGO (KFGO-KVRR) A former West Fargo High swim coach is in custody on suspicion of having sexual contact with a minor.
According to Cass County Jail records, Ronald Hehn was arrested by Fargo Police on Thursday. Hehn is being held for gross sexual imposition with a victim under 15 years of age.
In 2018, Hehn was dismissed from his job as head coach of the West Fargo Packers girls swim team.
An internal school district letter discusses an investigation that centered around a video on social media. The letter says the video was taken by Hehn and shows a student manager for the swim team attempting to swim with heavy weights strapped to his waist.
The letter says “lifeguards stopped the practice because it appeared dangerous.”
Hehn was also the head coach of the Concordia Cobbers women’s swim team from 2013 to 2014. He swam in the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2008 and 2012.
