FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) โ The Salvation Army is in dire need of volunteers for its Emergency Disaster Services Team.
The team responds to fires, floods, and other critical incidents to provide healing and comfort to those on the scene.
They are on call 24-7 in Cass and Clay counties.
But in the past few years, volunteers for the team have retired or have decided to stop volunteering.
The Salvation Army hopes that new volunteers will come forward.
โIโve been doing this now for about fifteen years, volunteering with this team here. Iโve had opportunities of being able to serve at several large incidents as well as several small incidents all in our community. And being able to give back to our community in this way has been very rewarding,โ said Andrew Lynch, Team Lead for Emergency Disaster Services.
The open house for volunteers will be tonight (Thursday) from 6 to 8 pm at The Salvation Army.
All training and equipment to be a volunteer will be provided.
