(Cass County jail)
WEST FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man is in the Cass County jail after leading West Fargo police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle early Thursday.
Police say an officer tried to make a traffic stop in the 800 block of 9th Street NW shortly after 1:30 a.m., but the driver fled and the pursuit began. The driver continued onto 12th Avenue NW where the officer executed a PIT maneuver and stopped the vehicle.
The driver, 54-year-old Steven Sturgill, was arrested for felony fleeing, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, DUI refusal, and driving under suspension.
After the arrest, the vehicle was reported stolen out of Fargo. Police say additional charges are possible.
