OXBOW, N.D. (KFGO) – No one was hurt when a semi and its trailer caught fire on Interstate 29 south of Fargo Saturday night.
The Highway Patrol says it happened around 10:30 p.m. near mile marker 50.
The semi and trailer were fully engulfed in flames. Crews from Southern Valley Fire and Rescue and Kindred Fire and Rescue battled the blaze in temperatures well below zero.
During the fire, the trailer split open. Crews worked on cleanup until after 1:30 a.m. Northbound traffic was detoured to Highway 81.
Crews worked on cleanup until around noon Sunday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
