ST. PAUL, Minn. – Starting Wednesday, the state of Minnesota is limiting the number of aerosol dusters teenagers can purchase.
Sen. Matt Klein says the law is needed because some young people have used these products to get high and it’s been fatal.
“We’re going to put some labeling on the aerosol dusters warning about the danger,” Klein says. “We’re going to limit the number at the time to two or four given the store and ask retailers to put them behind the counters rather than out on the shelf so they’re a little more difficult to get to.”
The aerosol dusters are common spray cans intended for cleaning computers and electronic products among other uses.
