DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO/KVRR) — The Becker County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning about thin ice.
The Sheriff’s Office posted a picture of a vehicle with its front end in the water to social media with the caption: “Please Do Not Use the Holiday Inn Access on Big Detroit Lake.” Due to recent rain and above freezing temperatures, ice conditions may have changed on area lakes.
“Ice is never 100% safe and can change daily,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote in a separate post.
The Sheriff’s Office encourages people to be safe and use caution at all times.
