WASHINGTON – FEMA has announced that federal disaster assistance is available to North Dakota to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by the wildfires and strong winds on Oct. 5 and 6.
The federal funding is available to state, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the wildfires and straight-line winds in McKenzie and Williams counties.
Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.
