FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man is charged with felony theft after Fargo Police say he made over $75,500 in unauthorized purchases with his employer’s company credit card.
Court records say Levi Mayo worked for A&R Drywall and used the company credit card to make authorized purchases like gas and building materials, but was supposed to turn in all receipts. The company’s owner says when he realized charges on the card were too high, he began looking over the bank statement.
The owner says Mayo admitted that he used the card to buy energy drinks that equaled a tank of gas three to five times a day, but didn’t believe the total was so high.
Mayo told police that he had an agreement to pay the owner back, but the owner says he never agreed to the arrangement.
The alleged theft happened between November 2023 and May 2024. The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
