Winter Solstice Walk |
River Keepers is coordinating a Winter Solstice Walk to bring some light and cheer to the longest night of the year (December 21). The trail at M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead will be lit at 5:30 p.m. and glow until 8 p.m. This is a special way to experience the beauty of a riverfront park in December. Pre-registration is not required. |
|
Start your adventure at the small shelter for some goodies while supplies last: Choose the length of your walk as there are various paths from .1 -.9 miles that connect and/or loop. Some people go through more than once! Other recommendations:
* Please carpool! * Dress for the weather. * Wear comfortable walking shoes. * Walking sticks are good for winter walking but not necessary. River Keepers is a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for the community to learn about the Red River, help sustain it, and safely enjoy it. |
