WADENA, Minn. (KFGO) – A 17-year-old girl, a passenger in a car, is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo after a two-vehicle collision west of Wadena.
The State Patrol says the girl was in a car driven by a 16-year-old girl. The car and an SUV collided on State Highway 29 shortly before 8 a.m. Monday. The girl hospitalized in Fargo was is identified as Larissa Hayakawa. The patrol report says she was not wearing a seatbelt.
The highway was slippery with snow and ice. Otter Tail County deputies, Wadena Police and Fire and Astera Ambulance also responded to the scene.
