American Crystal Sugar has a new Vice President of Administration. Ryan Wall has worked his way up the ranks in the company over the past 19 years, starting with the company as a maintenance engineer at the Drayton Factory. He moved on to supervisor roles in production, maintenance and engineering, and then to factory manager positions at East Grand Forks, Hillsboro and Crookston. Wall says he likes the path the company is taking with community involvement.
“We’ve really opened the doors and brought people in and showed the opportunities we have for growth and for employment and for careers. And we’ve also become a lot more invested in giving into our communities, whether that’s volunteering at nonprofits, or if it’s giving a sponsorship or a donation or a grant. We’ve really been active and I want to make sure we continue doing that.”
Wall’s promotion follows the retirement announcement of Lisa Borgen. Prior to working for American Crystal Sugar, Borgen was a distinct court judge in Minnesota and Clay County attorney.
