BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. (KFGO) – The Breckenridge Police Department says the man who was shot at a home early Thanksgiving morning was impaired and thought he was at his own home.
25-year-old Michael Mccall was trying to use his own keys to open the door. The homeowner, Mark Danford, heard the noise and grabbed his handgun. He unlocked the door, and Mccall immediately opened the door. Danford fired 3 rounds, hitting Mccall twice.
Mccall was airlifted to Sanford in Fargo with serious injuries, but Chief Kris Karlsgaard says he is doing well and recovering.
No charges will be filed against either man.
