MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Corwin Automotive Group is buying Ward Muscatell Subaru, Muscatell Pre-Owned, and the Muscatell Collision Center in Moorhead.
The transaction will happen Monday.
In a social media post, Muscatell says most of its staff will be staying in place and the transition is already under way.
Muscatell and Corwin Automotive Groups both have long histories in the region.
Charles Barthel owned and operated Barthel Chevrolet in Mandan, North Dakota. His son, Tom Muscatell, opened Muscatell Chevrolet on Main Avenue in Fargo in 1960. Tom’s son Ward acquired the Subaru franchise in 1996.
Corwin Automotive Group has been in business for over 100 years and has 17 locations across the country including North Dakota, Nebraska, Nevada, Missouri, Idaho, Colorado, Montana and Washington.
